Phantacia

ABSINTHE PACKAGING DESIGN

Objective

The project was to create a wine packaging scheme by researching and evaluating
the demand and target audience. Phantacia Absinthe is a hypothetical brand I created
for this project. Phantacia is the alternative form of the word “fantacia,” “fantacy” in Spanish, which refers to a concept related to Hellenistic philosophy and a music form. 

 

Approach

Absinthe is a 100-year-banned liquor. The way of drinking absinthe — the dripping fountain, spoon and burning sugar cube, felt very ceremonial. The almost neon green
liquid resembles of witch potion can actually cause an illusion. I amed to create a line of absinthe inspired by witch potions also inherits the ancient brewing recipe. My target audience is not limited to absinthe lovers.
For those who have love in dark magic and mysterious map stories, the Phantacia Absinthe will also draw their attention by standing on the shelf. 

A glass of absinthe is as poetical as anything in the world. / After the first glass you
see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not.
Finally you see things as they really are, and that is the most horrible thing in the world.
